My music magazine will be following the genre pop music, but seeing as this is a little brief, I decided I would take sub-genres off from this and focus mainly on female artists and bands. This would then allow my magazine to include more feminine topics, such as horoscopes, advice, aspects of fashion and the latest gossip. Of course, as it is a music magazine the attention would be mainly directed onto the music. From this I would say my target audience would be females, aged 13-18 - purely because any ages after this seem to lose interest in topics which I would be including in my project. I feel artists and bands such as Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, Rihanna and Pixie Lott. Although the audience may not be entirely interested in pop music, and may favour other older or different artists I feel that they would read this magazine to get an insight to a different type of music and lifestyle. This may be giving them inspiration in their youth years. The typical girl who would read the magazine would be very much so involved in social networking, enjoys shopping and listening to the latest chart music. She will follow the latest trends, whether it would be the newest technology or clothing range. The reader will still be at school or college, and living with her parents in the city.
The mode of address for my front page will have a colour scheme of pale colours such as pink, cream and purple. There will be a picture of a celebrity who must be considered as a role model, therefore has to be good looking and well known in the pop industry. The language will not be too difficult to read and quite colloquial when necessary.
